Our practice provides psychotherapy for adolescents aged 12 and up. Teens often experience difficulties with identity, school, relationships, and authority as they begin to define themselves as adults.
Our clinicians are experts in specific and unique developmental milestones and tasks of adolescence including low self-esteem, family issues, depression, perfectionism, food issues, self-injury, addictions, social issues, and grief and loss.
During this volatile time, our practice provides a nurturing space, and the guidance an adolescent needs to explore their self-concept, and increase their self-esteem. Often, with care and respect and, when clinically appropriate, our practice will include family members to help support the teen, as well as rebuild a functional relationship beneficial for both the teen and his/her family.
